What is cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency is a digital asset that uses cryptography to help secure transactions. On networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, participating computers maintain a shared record instead of one bank maintaining the ledger. Different assets have different purposes: payments, network fees, or use within applications. Buying a cryptocurrency does not automatically give you shares in a company.
Remember this
Start by asking what the asset does and how its network works.
